Year 2 Multi Skills Festival

On Thursday 30th November, the Year 2 Multi Skills Festival was held at Ellesmere Port Sports Village. A staggering 23 schools took part in the event, involving 535 children.

Schools selected which time slot they wanted to attend, and had an hour to complete 6 activities. These were: dynamic balance, stacking cups, fast feet ladders, chest push, speed bounce and target throw. Every 6 minutes, the children moved round to the next activity. They each had a certificate, where they collected a star on completion of the skill achieved. The children had an amazing time, and the hall had a brilliant buzz of excitement throughout the day.

We had fantastic support from the level 1 sports students from West Cheshire College, who led on individual activities. Also a thank you to Judith Gilmour and the coaches from CEPD for helping out on the day.
