Virtual / Personal Challenge – Run from Chester to Birmingham
Chester to B’ham run challenge
One part of the School Games programme mission is to help more children and young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their ‘personal best’. There is a focus on including competition against oneself and others to improve personal performance with a focus on the process rather than the outcome.
The School Games personal challenge is a student led opportunity to attempt to improve performance and can take place both in and out of school.
Our first personal best challenge this year is the Chester to Birmingham run. This is a distance of 75 miles and can be completed in small steps i.e. a lap a day of the school field. The children just need to keep a tally of the distance covered to see whether by the end of term, they can reach the athletics stadium (virtually) in Birmingham.
